About the event

For its 7 years of existence, Le RDV du Hang - Paris invites Quentin Kayser on the Péniche Anako, for his first concert in Paris. He will play his latest repertoire of compositions at the Handpan (New Album "HEALING") and will make you aware of the notes, melodies and harmonies that can come out of this magical instrument. For each of his compositions, he will tell the stories (travels, personal experiences, dreams) that inspired him and thus offer you a path of exploration while listening to them.

Alexandre Chaigne, the sound engineer of the Handpan Festival, specialist in the sound recording for the handpan will be the one who will take care of the microphones and the small buttons for the greater good of your ears.

For the more curious, there will also be the presence of the handpan maker Jona d 'Art MelodiouS who will present to you the manufacturing process of this instrument, with the possibility of leaving with one of his sound jewels.

In the first part, we will invite 3 Handpan player artists to present their most beautiful composition to the public, so we are launching a call for participants today:

Organic:

A traveler at heart and a multi-instrumentalist musician, Quentin Kayser developed his passion for music from an early age. Self-taught, he began to compose instinctively by exploring the sounds and the different harmonies offered to him by the instruments which passed through his hands. After 25 years of in-depth exploration on piano, guitar, percussion, bansuri flute, and vocals, Quentin first played the Handpan in 2011.

The chance of the trips made him meet a talented percussionist, Steve Shehan, who allowed him to try his own handpans. This day was the first day of his new musical, rhythmic and harmonic creativity. After 5 years of exploration with this magical instrument, Quentin decides to share his music publicly, touching the hearts and souls of those who listen to him.

The music that comes out of his handpans becomes his art and his primary passion.
